Creating Permanent Butterflies

Pamela Harper

Imagine what it ‘s like to talk to
someone and not hear negativity.
Not a word. No complaining.
No bad predictions. I don’t think
Pamela Harper, transformational specialist,
ever uses the word “no.”
She didn’t even blame her alcoholic father.

Pamela’s company is called Permanent Changes, symbolized by
a beautiful yellow butterfly. Pamela says, “A caterpillar never goes
back to being a caterpillar once it becomes a butterfly.”

After one of her recent events, Pamela watched participants come
out of their hypnotic state. “I saw the brightness coming through
their eyes and thought, ‘I don’t think I could ever give this up.
It feels too great.”

Go back to February of 2004. Pamela read “The E Myth” by Michael
Gerber and decided she wanted residual income, got into an MLM
and went to top of the company in two months. Then the company
folded. ”I went to bed that night and said to spirit, ‘What was that
all about?’ I woke early the next morning. I remember well, it was
a Tuesday. My mind was alive and ablaze with an idea –
The University of Masters.”

Pam asked her husband to check if the domain name
www.universityofmasters.com. was available. It was. That’s a miracle.
Pamela said, “In three hours I had the whole company designed.
My mission statement…everything.” It fit perfectly.

How does one grow up to become an agent for
transformative change?

"When I was a little girl, we were very poor.
I always loved to write. When I was 8 years old,
I sold greeting cards door-to-door to earn enough
money to buy a toy typewriter, so I could write a
neighborhood newsletter. I interviewed my neighbors
and wrote my own opinions about issues.”

Coming from a very hard working family Pamela was
never allowed to read fiction because there was
no benefit to it. (Try telling that to J.K. Rowland.)
“If you worked really hard you could get ahead, but
you weren’t supposed to be too happy.”
Pamela wanted to change that.

In high school, Pamela took speaking, acting,
and wrote for the high school newspaper. Her first
degree was in journalism, followed by counseling
and nursing; degrees that give diagnosis based on
symptoms. “Whether it’s sadness, a relationship
or career not working, or pain, “ Pamela says,
“those are just symptoms. The underlying cause
is being out of balance in some area of your life.
Your body talks to you really well. It may tense
up, get fluttery, or get a headache. Your body
is telling you it’s losing energy. It’s out of balance.
One way to notice this is to ask how you feel in your
body when you first develop the symptom. The best way
to disengage from that is to say, ‘Oh look my chest
is tightening up.’ Your heart doesn’t yell,
‘There’s too much stress in your life.’ You get chest
pains. We say, ‘That’s a pain in the butt.’ or
‘What a heartache.’ The body hears that.”

People always came to Pamela with their stuff because
she seemed to have an answer. “As a child I believed
everything was possible.“ Pam never lost that
“possibility” belief. “I knew it was a perfect world
and anyone who said otherwise was mistaken. Joy, peace,
health and wealth were the norm.”

What does Pamela see as the biggest problem people face?
“Believing in their own dreams,” she answers. “What
they desire is attainable, whether it’s health,
peace of mind, or getting rid of an addiction.
“Believing” is my mission. I’m transforming their doubt
into trust.” Pamela says many people don’t know what
they believe. “They’ll think it’s something completely
different. I’ll notice a mismatch of body language and
their words.” She checks in with a person’s energy and
listens to what they’re not saying. “Beliefs are
encoded as an energy field. I can find the moment
they developed that in the emotions that are attached to it.”

Pamela also participated in the best-selling book,
“Wake Up and Live the Life You Love.” It went to #1.
She gathered authors for another book in the series,
“Wake Up On an Enlightened Path.” Pamela compiled the book
and wrote the foreword.

To stay motivated herself. Pamela does daily practices.
“Self-hypnosis is mandatory for me. I’m a big one for
writing in my Truth Journal. I set my intention each day
and write my goals. It’s just quick, a small paragraph.
Sometimes I just write “world peace.” I am re-intending
my conscious mind. Then I use hypnosis to put it in.
I always notice self-talk, so I never say things
like, ‘I don’t have enough money.’ You’re re-creating
your world anyway. It might as well look the way
you want and build a happy ending.”

She says of those willing to take the journey.
“We all benefit from your acceleration and success.
The farther you prosper and fulfill your life purpose;
the sooner humanity flourishes in every way.
That is my whole essence for my life.”

Pamela wants to turn everyone into a butterfly.
She just might do it.

Pamela’s Life Lessons

* Ask a Great Question and You Will Get a Great Answer

Pamela asked a great question after the MLM company folded. “What
was that all about?” It opened the door for the new gift in her life.
Rather than fret, or complain, ask, “What could be the reason behind
this?” You might get a great answer as Pamela did.

*Be Diverse
Diversity Helps. The “Jack of all trades, master of none” is a myth.
We may, as Pamela does, become masters at many things. She is
counselor, hypnotherapist, seminar leader and author. If you, or
someone you know, does many things, they could be “bee-ing”
and pollinating a lot of future blossoms in their life.

* Breath is the Solution for Peace of Mind
A breath give you time to do what’s in harmony with what you
desire to create in your life. ”Take a deep breath. You cannot take a
deep breath and have a negative thought at the same time. That
allows you to take a moment to change your mind and do what’s
more in line with your good or purpose,” Pam says.

* Your Body is a Roadmap
“The body does what it’s told. If we walk around all day saying
I’m stressed – you will be.” Pamela heals by holding the vision of
what’s possible for people. She teaches people how to use their
bodies as the guidance systems that they are. “We make the body
into the enemy if it’s in pain. No. That’s a gift. It’s the only way it
can communicate and get our attention.”

* Eliminate the Negative
Pamela is aware of the enormous power of words and wants people
to realize the power they have to create, especially if you use the
same words over and over. What you tell yourself is even more
important than what others tell you.

* Look for the First Event
“Each time an emotion comes up, it’s attached to an original event,”
says Pamela. In her work she goes back to the first time the person
accepted that belief as truth. “That’s when it started to replicate
itself on a cellular level and grow,” she says. “That’s where it can change.”

* Anything is Possible
Use the power of belief. After all, if a caterpillar can learn
to fly – so can you!
